OUR HISTORY
In 1992 Decon Charles Clark, Jr. recieved his call to the ministry. He preached his first sermon on Sunday, September 27, 1992. He was ordained a minister on Sunday, Novermber 20, 1994 by his Pastor, Reverend Willie L. Thomas.
In 1997 Pastor and First Lady Clark, together with their friend, Brother Walter Dortch, found a suitable building located on Larkspur Lane in Redding, California. St. Marks Missionary Baptist Church's first worship service began at 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, 1997. In attendance were 28 people and 26 of them became charter members.
For the past 20 years the Gospel has been preached with marvelous results in the changing of people's lives - people who were on drugs have been changed by the glory and power of God and now are active members ministering in the Church and in turn reaching out to others to set them free.
